Legithit.com are the UK's premier suppliers of legal highs, herbal pills, party pills, aromas and herbs.
A new start up company approached Toucan Web Design with the intention of selling controversial products online, namely legal highs and accessories. Here at Toucan we like to keep an open attitude towards all people from all walks of life, so we naturally jumped at the chance to develop a site that was a break from the norm.
With only a very small starting budget LegitHit were worried that they might not be able to afford a site that was capable of all the functionality they required, let alone that was designed to be unique and eye catching. This was of course not a problem to us here at Toucan Web Design, we sat down with the clients and explained what we could accomplish within their budget, and how we could focus on certain areas and the adverse effect that could have on others.
The client decided that they would rather spend more on the software and sacrifice a large section of the design budget in favour of a more advanced system and an advertising budget as advised by Toucan Web Design. With our help and guidance we got the site up, running and turning over money within two weeks.
After trading for about six months LegitHit had started turning over large amounts of money, in fact their sales had steadily increased by about 200% per month and they were now one of the largest retailers of legal highs and accessories in the country.
Due to this massive success they decided to fill in the gaps they had to leave when first establishing the website. This meant they came back to us and asked for a re-design, a complete re-design.
We were more than happy to oblige, and now LegitHit still see over a 200% increase in sales, per month, with regular number one positions in Google for their targeted keywords, an amazing achievement in such a competitive market. Don’t believe me? Check it out:

We still work very closely with LegitHit, optimising their site, obtaining one way and reciprocal links, adding new functionality and helping out in any way we can. We are proud of what LegitHit has accomplished in under a year, even for such a controversial site, and we like to use it as an example of just how open-minded we are here at Toucan Web Design.
